The rostrum shows three blades figured as real swords sharp. This effect gives life to this formidable naval weapon assimilating the ship to the arm of the soldier and th naval ram to his sword.
A small dolphin is shown just above the waterline. The blades should therefore be just below the water level.
On the left the anchor is held by a rope.
